It's not part of the g-code stream. Grbl's system commands do things like control machine state, report saved parameters or what Grbl is doing, save or print machine settings, run a homing cycle, or make the machine move faster or slower than programmed. Does the machine have limit switches? If not, it’s not possible to home it automatically. If it does have limit switches installed, the GRBL docs cover homing setup quite well: Grbl v1.1 Configuration · gnea/grbl Wiki · GitHub. If you don’t have limit switches, you’ll have to do it manually.

If you do not have limit switches, you will need to add homing switches and enable the homing cycle in GRBL settings. Located based on switch trigger, rather than release point.
